My Portfolio

OPPM Investment Plan

As the project lead for the Digital OPPM Investment project, I led the effort to improve the efficiency and functionality of the Oracle Primavera Portfolio Management (OPPM) platform for Digital teams at Ameren. I was responsible for developing new features and updates to existing ones in order to enhance processes for the Integrated Long Term Planning, PMO, VMO, and Financial Services Teams. The project had a budget of $500,000 and a team of 25 Ameren and consultant resources, as well as a vendor team of 3 resources.

Voltage Optimization

This project was initiated to address the potential disruption to the AMI network caused by increasing traffic. To bolster network capacity, the project involved adding servers and performing configuration work on the servers. This work focused on a new integration with vendor Dominion Voltage, Inc (DVI) and reconfiguring the meters to send in readings every 15 minutes, reducing network traffic and improving the timing of data delivery to DVI for voltage analysis.

Integrations Investment 2022

This project aimed to build a secure cloud integration framework, automate the on-premises integration platform, and deploy usage monitoring for future cost optimization and chargeback metrics. The existing testing tool suite was also expanded to include functional and performance testing that could be incorporated into the automated pipeline. The delivery method was a combination of Waterfall and Agile, with multiple teams working on various initiatives. The Organizational Change Management (OCM) scale for this project was 100-500 employees.

Microsoft Enterpise Agreement Renewal

This project involved the renewal of the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement for all Microsoft software and services in use at Ameren. The goal was to secure cost-effective licensing while maximizing the benefits of the agreement. The renewal provided Ameren with the rights to use and consume Microsoft software solutions and services.

Templates

I have created templates for all phases of the project lifecycle. Here are a few examples.

Project Plans

A project management plan is a document that outlines how a project will be executed, monitored, and controlled. It describes the project scope, objectives, deliverables, timeline, resources, and budget, as well as the processes and tools that will be used to manage the project. The project management plan is a key component of project management and serves as a reference point throughout the project.

The project management plan should be developed during the planning phase of the project and should be reviewed and updated as needed throughout the project. It should be created in collaboration with the project team and stakeholders, and should be based on the project charter and other relevant documents.

Cost Tracker

A cost tracker is a tool used to track and manage the costs associated with a project. It is a document or spreadsheet that is used to record, categorize, and track expenses incurred during the project. A cost tracker may include information about the project budget, the types of costs that are being tracked (such as labor, materials, equipment, travel, and overhead), and the actual costs incurred to date.

A cost tracker is an important tool for project management, as it helps to ensure that the project stays within budget and allows for early identification of cost overruns or other financial issues. It also helps project managers to make informed decisions about resource allocation and to identify opportunities for cost savings.

Definition Gate

A definition gate is a milestone in the project management process that marks the completion of the project definition phase. The project definition phase is the first phase of a project and involves defining the project scope, objectives, deliverables, timeline, resources, and budget. The definition gate marks the point at which the project team has completed the necessary planning and is ready to move on to the next phase of the project.

The definition gate is an important milestone because it signifies that the project has been thoroughly planned and that the project team has a clear understanding of what needs to be done and how it will be done. It also marks the point at which the project team has received approval to proceed with the project and has the necessary resources and budget to do so.

Project Estimation

A project estimation template is a document or spreadsheet that is used to estimate the costs and resources required for a project. It is a tool that helps project managers to develop a budget and timeline for a project, and to identify and allocate resources appropriately.

A project estimation template typically includes a list of the tasks and activities that need to be completed in order to complete the project, along with estimates of the time and resources required for each task. It may also include a budget and timeline for the project, and may include tools for forecasting future costs and identifying potential risks or challenges.
